About
Alex Catus
Alex is a storyteller. They've been writing tales since their teenage years, and when they talk about their own life, it comes out as stories too: a childhood between Conakry and Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni after being born in Haiti, years in France supporting students with disabilities, babysitting, singing French songs, and staging musicals with friends.
In 2016 they moved to Montréal to learn to code. They won Cégep en spectacle in 2018, became a developer, and later moved into DevOps simply because they didn't understand that side yet. Today they're a Staff Developer.
They're working toward a visual arts certificate at UQAM and starting training as a conteur this fall.
They also built Dorian, a financial and health system that records their days and tries to predict the next one.
I just like to tell stories, through code, lines, words or songs.
